B&F oversaw Campus Master Plan projects for Holy Child School that included site work, a new turf field, expansion of the current gym, and additional parking. Despite construction occurring during the middle of the pandemic, our team delivered the projects on schedule and under budget.
Holy Child School at Rosemont is a coeducational, Pre-K-8 Catholic school. Because construction occurred on an active school campus, safety and project phasing were a top priority for our team. The new Fitzgerald Performing Arts and Athletics (PAAC) Building was built around three sides of the existing gym, however, careful planning allowed Holy Child to maintain safe use of the gym throughout construction. The PAAC Building, which includes gym and theater facilities, opened in time for the Christmas show. The school’s new parking lot, delivered on time for the beginning of the school year, allows for safe and efficient student drop-off and pick-up on campus.
B&F was able to save Holy Child a significant amount of money on the project. The total percentage of change orders compared to the original contract was only 1.2%, and less than half of the contingency was used. Through our careful management of project finances, the campus improvements were completed under budget. Even better - parents, students, and faculty alike love these beautiful new spaces.
“We just completed a transformational campus expansion project and B&F was a key partner in this effort. In ways big and small, their knowledge and experience contributed to the success of our project. And perhaps most importantly, it came in on time and under budget!”
