Market Resource Partners needed a larger workspace to accommodate their growing business. They hired B&F to manage the renovation and fit-out of the penthouse at 1818 Market Street. Their new headquarters offers stunning, 360-degree views of Philadelphia and provides a collaborative, modern workspace that supports MRP’s continued growth.
B&F worked with MRP and their architect to develop a phasing plan that met both operational and budgetary goals. Construction was broken into several phases. As quadrants were renovated, staff were moved into swing space, then returned once their offices were complete. Our Project Manager carefully coordinated the relocation schedule with MRP management and the contractor, providing continuity when MRP’s project lead left and a new staff member was assigned to the project.
Midway during renovations, MRP decided to lease additional space on the same floor. B&F negotiated a fair price with the current contractor for the additional scope of work, avoiding the need to engage a second contractor. We also helped to identify existing furniture that could be reused and assisted MRP in finding quality new FF&E options that met their budget. B&F delivered the renovations on schedule and within budget, skillfully managing details from coordinating slab penetrations to minimize disruptions to fellow tenants, to helping offload unneeded furniture.
“B&F were the experts in the room. They came up with creative ways to solve the complex scheduling and staging problems that arise in many construction projects. They helped to make sure that our deadlines were met in each of the 4 stages of our project, with no slippage to the timeline.”
