Over the last 25 years, we have established a strong track record of hospitality projects, and our experience with ground-up projects goes just as deep. Our projects with Hyatt House & Hyatt Place combined these two expertise, and they cemented our position in a unique class of project managers that also handles ground-up hospitality projects.

Hyatt House is located in Lewes, DE. This ground-up project includes 105 guestrooms, along with the largest indoor pool in Delaware. It was important that this hotel had sufficient rooms to meet the summer demand in Lewes. We provided boots-on-the-ground for Harvey Hanna by reviewing change orders and conducting walkthroughs to monitor the construction schedule and reviewing the construction progress.

We helped our client through the entire procurement process, holding regular meetings with procurement agent, Neil Locke Associates and checking quantities to ensure all the correct furniture was chosen according to the budget and brand standards. Towards the end of the project, we spent a significant amount of time on the job site to offer support with coordination of furniture installation and punch-list items.

A major highlight of this project was being able to save our client over $200,000 by fixing a spacing issue. A lack of space between the TV and the bed made it difficult for customers to move around the room freely. To problem solve, we came up with the idea to install a built-in TV shelf for one-bedroom suites with a king bed. By using a built-in shelf, we were able to create more space as well as save our client’s money using our meticulous change order process.

Hyatt Place, located in Grasonville, MD, was a project that was completed during the COVID-19 pandemic. This ground-up hotel consists of 120 guestrooms – some with beautiful waterfront views – event spaces, an indoor pool, and a fitness center. We worked with Harvey Hanna since the beginning of construction process, where we helped monitor construction progress and managed schedule impacts due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We also reviewed change orders and invoices, supported the owner’s direct purchase efforts, and coordinated the installation of FF&E.
